I reached out to Ticket Smarter with concerns that I saw tickets posted for my festival that appeared to be scam/fake tickets along with information (eg we offer VIP tickets) that was completely inaccurate. All customer service could tell me was that they are a third party and not responsible for what anyone posts. I commented on their social medias trying to find out who I should speak to. They deleted my comments of course. To my surprise, got a call from their CEO Jeff Goodman. I raised my concerns that they apparently had no systems or protocol in place to deal with ticket scammers/scalpers and that they had a bio posted on their site that represented our event and could make it appear that we have some kind relationship with them. Not 10 seconds into the call, Jeff was treating it like a sales pitch. I finally had to end the call. Absolutely appalled to get a sales call when I was trying to address scam tickets listed on the site. There are a lot of red flags about this company. The final thing I will note is that the site is called Ticketsmarter … which is pretty easily confused with Ticket Master. Probably not a coincidence.
