They’re scammers. They will lie to you and will trick you into debt. Once they start their automatic payments, you won’t hear from them unless they want to squeeze more money out of you. Their lawyer, because she did NOT represent my interests! will just stress you out, make you feel lousy about yourself and just try to please the other party’s lawyer. Now I’m trapped in a big debt they’ve put me into and thanks to their lousy lawyer I receive much less child support than I ever did before. I’m a minority, low income single mother. This practice may not be “illegal,” but it is unethical and immoral.
