Scamadvisor has incorrectly listed our business website as “suspicious” and given us a low score of 41/100 because we use email from Gmail (they say free email is suspicious) and because we have low traffic at our site. We are a new small business selling jewelry making supplies and jewelry online. We just started doing business in the last week of Feb 2023 and had excellent sales on our Etsy store and were getting more traffic at our main store until Scamadvisor listed us as “suspicious” and now no sales or visits at all. This is devastating to us as a small business just getting started. We have claimed our website and contacted Scamadvisor and sent them our business registration and my photo ID and explained our situation but have not received a reply and our website remains listed “suspicious”. Scamadvisor appears to be too aggressive with labeling sites as a scam and their algorithm is hurting valid new small business. I can see having a lower score of 65/100 for being new and using gmail for business but a score of 41/100 and a suspicious label is unjustified and very unnecessarily damaging to our reputation. There are no negative reviews of our business or website. We use Shopify and Scamadvisor even states that all the safety aspects of the site check out ok — the low rating is simply because we used gmail to save on costs and are new! This is terrible!
