I was sent a prepaid card from prepaiddigitalsolutions via an AEG “cashback” offer on a domestic appliance. Like many other people I was unable to use it on many different websites due to the transactions being blocked. After leaving it a few days I then tried making a one-off payment on my electricity/gas account, which fortunately worked. So whilst I wouldn’t say it’s a “scam” as some people have, had I known that the use of the card is so severely restricted then I most likely would have avoided the cashback offer in the first place.
