This company is ripping off customers. Here’s how. First, they do not allow their prepaid card to be used with common payment apps (PayPal, Venmo, Google or Apple Pay), which would make it easy to use the small balance. The only way a customer can use the small balance is to ask a cashier to punch in the numbers for a partial payment. Try it sometime, you’ll see why you’ll never bother again and why you won’t buy these cards again. It’s so much fun to be told multiple times that they don’t know how or can’t use this form of payment, while people in line are annoyed, you’re annoyed, everyone is annoyed. Try contacting their customer support, that’s another source of frustration. They’re powerless robots who can’t help. The system is setup to cause you to lose a few dollars with every card. That’s how they’re scamming. I have informed my employer to stop offering this brand of prepaid gift cards as employee rewards, and warn coworkers not to select this prepaid digital card because it is so limited and annoying and a ripoff. Next stop is to report them to a legal authority, this is online fraud. Date of experience? MULTIPLE, too many tries to track. Today at Walmart was my last attempt.
