Total scam. Like other reviewers, MobileUnlocked lure you in with what seems a reasonable cost at just under a tenner. However, the so called ‘immediate unlock’ just doesn’t happen and then they request an additional £30 payment with no option to cancel or refund. (The reason they only charge a notional £9.73 is something I think called ‘the redemption factor’ which relies on it being too much hassle to challenge them about a small sum). I’ll be contacting my credit card and raising a dispute under misrepresentation under The Sale if Goods Act using the ‘cooling down’ clause because it is effectively a credit arrangement and so you are allowed to withdraw from such a scheme. I suggest you raise a dispute too if you have been exploited by what I think is a cynical ploy. Remember to say to your credit card issuer that this is a credit arrangement and you are exercising your right to cool down and withdraw.
