Seems to be a scam involving its so-called liability coverage. An 18 year old male driver, who claims to be driving a rental car (eventually admitted that it was Getaround) hit my car on 10/18/22 & claimed the vehicle he was driving had no insurance, but I later found out that it was rented from Getaround; Getaround referred my claim to Sedgwick (I guess its liability insurance company), but they have not responded to my & my lawyer’s requests to pay for damages, $5,879, plus cost (approx $225/wk) for a rental car.
