I booked a room in hotel barriere in Lille (France) via getaroom which pretended to be the hotel website. I had to pay 125.60 gbp tax recovery charges and service fees for a two nights stay. In total I was charged 363.20 gbp. I checked the official website of the hotel, and I could book two nights for 240 gbp. I contacted my bank with the hope to block this transaction.In short, avoid getaroom. It is a fraudulent operation.
