Most sellers are scammers. If it isn’t selling “handmade” items you can buy for cheap on aliexpress or alibaba then it’s passing off AI generated art as real art. I tried as someone who does legitimate paintings & got fed up very fast. Opened May 22nd & closed May 29th 2023. If the site wasn’t working properly – search tags not functioning, etc. – then on the forums the other “sellers” stank to the heavens of unprofessionalism. Harassing new users, not offering any helpful options, and posting questions that any real seller would know – such as about copyright or trademark – and which proves they’d never be able to sell on a proper platform not scammer’s heaven etsy
