My account was hacked – actually, I believe Etsy was hacked. My bank account info was replaced with a hackers account – which I could not change. Long story short – fraudulent listings for high end furniture placed on my account instead of my items, after I put my shop on vacation and deactivated my items, until I could get things straightened out. Customer service is the worst as far as getting a response and they skip over half of what you need. I did get some nice people – but they stop responding and then its wait 2-3 days to hear back from a new person who has to be updated all over again. I quickly refunded the scammed parties with a note, letting them know what happened – closed my shops then- to stop the ongoing hacking. I had changed passwords several times, had SMS codes turned on, that’s why I think Etsy itself was hacked. Etsy charged my bank card immediately for fees from the sales when I refunded the scammed buyers. I had to change my longstanding bank account due to this – Etsy no longer has my current banking information, as I have explained about 10-12 times now, my shops are closed yet – they refuse to refund my card. I will attempt to email their legal dept now. I never want to deal with them again. I should have left when they sold out from Handmade. Weeks in- dealing with all this – no refund. Ridiculous. Their customer service set up is the worst – worst ever.
