I bought an item on etsy which turned out to be a counterfeit and fake. I reported the fraudster seller to etsy but they did not take any action against the seller and he carried on operating with his fake items and fake shop. After 8 days I was still calling and texting etsy to receive support and get a refund but they were evasive and kept sending me back to paypal. What is outrageous is fraudster seller had stolen his images from ebay.it and used them for selling his fake items and although I reported this to etsy and attached dozens of attached documents as proof of fraud etsy to this day has not taken any action and seller is still operating on their platform. To this day I have not been able to get my money back and I am still being sent from pole to pillar. Customer service and protection are extremely poor on etsy and fraud seller take full advantage of these shortcomings. I feel very stressed and disappointed and the shopping experience has been a big trauma and frightening nightmare.
