    After 7 years on Etsy I have no choice but to close my Etsy shop. Buyer returned expensive item which was lost in the mail, no proof of delivery. Carrier admitted liability and asked buyer to file a claim under the shipping insurance. Buyer had not declared actual value to avoid paying extra insurance fee. Buyer opened a case and despite there being clear evidence that we had not received the return, the automated bot that processes cases issued a full refund. Disputed the case outcome only to receive generic replies that contradicted Etsy’s own policies. Sellers are being consistently scammed and Etsy couldn’t care less. They’ve lost my business forever.
