So I booked a flight and it shows on their platform that I was charged 260 USD. When looking at my bank actual amount charged they charged a total of 345 USD. contacted their support and the guy tells me that they didnt charge more than 260 usd. I’ve never seen this kind of scam before. if it was 275 usd i wouldn’t complain, but over 75 usd while I canceled going through a competitor’s flight booking platform? that’s just unprofessional and insulting move.Update: I got this email from the billing that is out of this world. “We Would like to inform you that, total amount applicable on this booking is 260.30 USD which was further debited in two transactions of $ 225.30 for the ticket charged under AIR SENEGAL and $ 35.00 is the service fee charged under COA. Please check with your bank for the conversion charges. “Essentially, they charged me an extra 80 USD, which is quite frustrating for two reasons:First, the so called 35 USD service fee was expected on my end as it was already within the 260 USD right ( 225.3+35= 260.30.)Secondly, Where in the world did we go from (225.3 + 35 service) to 306 +35 service fee? The main charge was supposedly $225.30, which was actually a whopping $306 charge according to my bank records. That’s an additional $80. I’m astounded by this discrepancy, which seems like an unreasonable conversion difference. It’s essential to share our experiences and hold such companies accountable.
