Responded to a FACEBOOK ad for 4 nights in NYC at a Wyndam Hotel in midtown NYC for $199. After charges were posted, received an e-mail requesting a call back for booking dates. I had already attempted to book online, but all dates I requested were unavailable, straight through to 2024! Finally a different hotel was on website – The Beekman Hotel – in an entirely different Manhattan neighborhood. And nothing available, again, until 2024. I gave up and called to cancel, tonight, 6/20/2023, just one month after making this original purchase online. I was told NO CANCELLATIONS or REFUNDS allowed. Keep in mind, a sales phone rep I spoke to a few days after original booking made clear, after I PRESSED for more details, that their would be additional daily hotel fee charges, tax (not unexpected, of course), in addition to at least 2 hours of my time during my stay for a sales presentation on times hares. Again, not shocking. But what is disturbing – VERY – is that they refused to cancel my transaction, just 30 days later – after having not even booked a trip, dates, etc. – and the phone rep was quite rude. My conclusion – SCAM!!!!! Be wary of this. Also, booking reply/charge goes under MONSTER Reservations Group. Be wary!!!!
