I signed up for a discounted 4 night stay at the Mountain Club in Lincoln, NH. When I went through the excruciating process of actually booking the dates it turned out that this was a marketing information collection scam. They take all sorts of personal information, including your and spouse’s drivers license numbers. Then, at the very end, they try to sell me $99 of “white glove insurance”. You are required to attend a two hour time share presentation and they hold you hostage by taking a $150 deposit that you can only get back by attending. They will also run a credit check on you. There are also more fees to be paid at resort check-in and they can’t tell you how much the fees will be. A total scam.
