Booking.com is hosting fraudulent properties and is doing nothing to fix it.The property required a “damage deposit” of £200 into the owner’s bank account.We complied, but we later had to cancel the stay for medical reasons, and the property didn’t refund the deposit.When we asked the owner to return the deposit, he stopped responding.We contacted Booking.com about the issue, but they failed to solve it, and the fraudulent property is still open.Time to switch to the competition, where such deposits aren’t even allowed.
