This is nothing but a scam. They advertise board positions and then when you set up the intro call, it’s nothing more than a sales pitch. They want you to pay $200 to sign up and then an additional $195/mo… all this for the potential to potentially connect with some phantom companies looking for phantom board members. I’ve been on the boards of various companies over the years and have never had to “pay to play.”Remember, people, the boards supposedly want us, not us trying to buy a position.When I chose not to pay the $200 on boarding fee, I received a follow up email from “Pete,” who didn’t bother responding to my critical email of the process.Why? Because this is a scam… basically a pyramid scheme to get people to pay for a service that isn’t there.
