I need to download an app for my workplace, Royal Mail, for view wages, holidays etc. When the app wasn’t working I used to a QR CODE supplied on official letters from my employer for help and support. After scanning the QR code I was taken to a screen to put in bank details which I did (idiot) thinking it was confirmation of my identity from my workplace. How wrong was I. It caused unbelievable problems, I received numerous calls, text messages and emails from my bank, credit card company etc about fraudulent activity on my accounts. I ended up with a subscription I never wanted and goodness know what other problems I could have incurred. They have been reported to police action fraud. Total scammers. They hijack QR codes. Beware.
