I used these scam artists almost a year ago when I went travelling around 12 countries for 2 months. The SIM stopped working from country 5 to 12 – the customer service was dire. I was home by the time they gave me any help and they wouldn’t refund me.Fast forward to last weekend, almost a year later. I check my bank account and I see around 6 payments to Airalo, which I did not authorise, to the sum of almost £400. I reached out to them via email out of desperation, asking what had happened (I assumed they’d been hacked?!) and it’s now over 10 days later without a response to an urgent email. I ended up having to go through my bank’s fraud team to get the payments reversed and have all of my accounts blocked. The lack of response and this kind of behaviour is actually sickening. I can’t believe the company is still running. I’m just lucky I could get my money back.
