Bait and switch scam. I booked a luxury 4-star Hilton hotel in Paris weeks before my trip but about five days before the trip Vio emailed me saying that that room I booked is no longer available and offered to relocate me to a much cheaper run down hotel with terrible reviews. It looks like their tactic is to attract people with great deals on good hotels and then switch to a cheaper hotel at the last minute, hoping that their client won’t have any other options. After I refused the relocation offer, they are being vague about refunding my money, saying that they need some time to “process my request”. So as of now I have neither the booking nor the refund. I’ve used Booking com a dozen times without any issues and this time I wanted to try a new booking service, which turned out to be a terrible idea. I hope my review will stop others from making the same mistake.
