I purchased a ladder hook which was advertised as being in stock by Manicaa who would only take payment by bank transfer. Once I had paid I was advised that there was no stock in South Africa; but that they had it in their Warehouse in the USA. Later they stated that they had no stock at all and that they would refund me. This, despite much correspondence, they have not done. For the unwary, the ad on line is still there- by keying in on google search-ladder hook manicaa. The moral is never to pay ‘fly by night companies’ except by credit card, and the sad part is that setups like this continue to survive despite being obvious scams and there is no law to close them down. Perhaps a Class Action?
