This company is absolutely a scam.It is literally not possible to register souvenir plots in Scotland; the law does not allow for it. You can read up about it in the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012, section 22.There is no “ancient law” being taken advantage of here; it is literally not possible to own a plot of land this small.
