Stay away from this website!!!I signed up for a month trial to this site in May which I tried to cancel after two weeks, as it wasn’t for me. No means were provide to unsubscribe from the website (which, in itself it totally unacceptable and is standard practice now for any reputable online businesses) and on contacting the service desk I was told that I needed to either fax (!!!) or send them an email attachment to cancel my account. I missed the ‘attachment’ bit and emailed them requesting (providing the necessary information) that my account be closed. I thought the matter over until I got email (5 days ago – Nov 22) from a debt collection agency seeking to recover £223 for an unpaid membership and a host of additional fees! This email was shortly followed up with a demand letter to my home address. On checking my emails I did find a number of emails from c-date chasing monies that gone into my spam folder, that I’d missed but there was no correspondence saying that my initial attempt to cancel subscription had been unsuccessful back in May.I am furious with the practice of this so called ‘serious’ company. I have paid the debt collection agency the bogus monies owed purely because I haven’t the time and don’t need the stress of trying to refute this right now. I feel that I have been scammed by an unscrupulous company who’s business model is to ensure that anyone signing up will be made liable for a years subscription whether they want it or not!!!
