I was contacted by someone claiming to be a buyer on Vinted, where I was trying to sell some clothes. The individual further contacted me through Whatsapp and advised me that they had already paid for the item(s), but before receiving the credit, I needed to approve a payment through my bank app. They stated it would be for verification purposes only and convinced me by sending a link, which led me to a (fake) Vinted website. On that website, a support agent prompted me to follow their instructions, assuring me that no money would be deducted from my account. When I approved the transactions of 490 and 777€ believing it was just for verification, the money was gone, and the scammer never showed up again. The transfer was made to pay.flutterwave. I have contacted the bank and Flutterwave to refund the money involved. I contacted Flutterwave and, after talking to 15 different agents, my money was gone and they didn’t give me any solution. They just wait until the scammers took the money. FLUTTERWAVE COVERS UP THE SCAMMER. THEY ARE PART OF THE SCAMS!
