Absolute scam and ripoffThought I was booking directly through the hotel website but getaroom.com has high jacked the hotel website. The price of the room was in my local currency but on payment checkout it changed to dollars and the price had gone up. I tried to cancel it online but the email address on the booking bounced back and the links in the email didn’t work. So I googled getaroom online to find loads of bad reviews. I found and email address in one of the bad reviews which I emailed to cancel the booking, they responded to say my booking is not refundable even though I cancelled on the day of making the booking.
