I purchased these through Instagram where it was not clear the game was app based rather than an event that has been organised. Requested a refund for an event three months away because it was not what I wanted to purchase -it was advertised as an escape room style event. Told by staff that the webpage makes this clear but I purchased through another site. Paid $60 for something we won’t use. Have seen it advertised at a variety of prices which made me wonder if it was a scam (after purchase).Good life lesson not to purchase things off Instagram- get thousands of these people purchasing and offer no refunds and you end up wealthy. I was intending for this to be a fun birthday experience with my son and his siblings. I’m sure they’re technically correct that somewhere unbeknownst to me it said it was app based but ethically and morally I would not chose to deal with this company again as a result.
