I booked a hotel for my trip to London with my credit card but cancelled a few days later in July. In September there was a $1,000 charge on my debit card from Agoda. I was in London at the time so when I got home a couple days later I immediately contaced Agoda customer service. They were quick to respond however communication was confusing and a waste of time because I received a reply from a different customer service rep each time which meant explaining my proplem over & over. I was charged an unauthorized transaction, a fraud transaction. Agoda said it was a duplicte reservation for the exact hotel I had booked & cancelled in July. I said well that’s the problem, I didn’t have a duplicate booking. They stopped responding. My bank would not refund me the money so I lost $1,000. $1,000 is a lot of money to me, I’m not rich. It’s sad large companies don’t care about the average person, only about the money they make.
