When I tried to pay my annual road tax online by google search – website showing “UK Vehicle Tax Online-GOV UK TAX” and then follow the website instruction to put your car registration number and confirm this is your vehicle and paying by either Apple Pay or CARD. initially they charge you £0.5 and then £7.85 every month via direct debit card – without any consent from me. Because my car is electric and road tax should be £0.00. Also they emailed me by saying your payment is successfully – I thought I already paid the tax but later on I received a letter from DVLA reminder and fine (£40) for the late payment – not only I missed the payment of vehicle tax but also they charged me £7.85 per month until now. I email them asking refund but they said no because they did sent me a remind of paying my road tax which cost me £7.85 per month. Vehicleenquiry.UK is absolutely SCAM and should be stopped immediately!!!
