Not quite a scam but very scummy business practices – your £10.79 up front is just to check blacklisting (an automated process that’s costs them nothing) they then charge £20 to unlock.The next bit of scummy practice is saying unlocking takes 15 minutes, when again, the check takes up to 15 minutes and then you are waiting up to 24 hours for unlock.I would say it’s easier, cheaper and more convenient to take it to a local phone store.
