I opened a bank account with Mission Lane after they advertised an offer for increasing your credit line $500 if you deposited $200 in their bank. I already had a credit card with them, so I opened the bank account. What followed was a nightmare. First, it took 5 days for the funds to show as available and once it showed as available, my account was immediately locked. I replied to the emails they sent requesting my social security card, my driver’s license, AND face recognition. 3 days later no response and my bank account is still locked. I called customer service and they just said I had to wait for an email reply (after verifying my life story to the rep). REALLY convenient that as soon as the funds showed as available, they locked the account. At this point, I just want my money back. The credit line increase is not worth it. I realized too late that this is a scam, and now I am short $200.
