Total scam! I was trying to reserve a room on a hotel website in Paris 5 months ahead, and was rerouted (unbeknownst to me) to their website (no indication as the title of page said “reservations” the moment I clicked to reserve (a free cancellation until April 14th roomI I get a confirmation that it is a fully paid an advance booking. I push the cancel button as soon as I realize what has happened, and it says it is cancelled but non-refundable. I call the number listed and explain to the woman that I was under the impression that I was reserving a room and I’m not sure about exact dates and she says all she can do is send an email to the hotel property to see if they accept. I call the hotel and they were not the ones who charged me! We are talking about $4000!!! I’m in shock!
