Received a $50 card as a gift. Tried to use it online with Sephora repeatedly and it wouldn’t go through. I figured I needed to activate it, but their website kept stating there was a system error. I contacted customer service and the automated system stated there was an issue with the card. When I spoke to an agent he could see where I tried to use the card and said it was declined as a safety precaution to prevent fraud due to suspicious activity. FOR A GIFT CARD! This was my first time using it. This isn’t a credit/debit! Suspicious activity on a GIFT CARD??? He said the issue was resolved. IT STILL DOESN’T WORK. I tried over and over reentering the card information over and over. I was finally able to use part of the card elsewhere but not for what I really wanted to use it for. What’s the point in a Visa gift card if you can use it anywhere?
