On Friday, November 25th, I made a reservation from what I believed to be the Hilton website. Apparently, I inadvertently hit a 3rd party ad for “Getaroom.com.” A $115 room in Ashland, OH was charged to my Visa at $162.58. The additional $47.75 in taxes & fees were NOT listed prior to making the reservation. Get a room was portraying itself as Hampton/Hilton site. The customer service rep with whom I spoke, indicated that the charge would not be refunded. It’s fraud pure & simple. I am writing this on Friday 11/25/22 at 10:11 PM, an hour after making the reservations. Husband made a reservation at a different hotel, same night in Ashland, OH with fees of $15. Get a room is an unethical player in the hotel market with nefarious business practices. Terrible!!!
