I was surprised to see the book Beloved Dog by Maira Kalman advertised for sale by Manicaa at a reasonable price, as I had not seen it available in SA anywhere else.I ordered 2 copies. 4 days later I received the Out of Stock email , requesting my banking details for a refund. I now believe that they never had the book in stock, that it was advertised at a fraudulent price aimed to attract buyers, with the idea of never refunding the payment.I have seen so many people who have not been paid their refund. I am therefore hesitant to give them my banking details. They do not respond to phone calls, chatbot or emails.
