I was told by the lady at the counter that I had to purchase a specific type of insurance to take the rental car off the lot, even though I had already purchased insurance through Expedia and I have my own insurance that covers rental cars. The lady told me I could not rent the car without purchasing the additional insurance so I did. Later I researched it and found out that in Florida I am NOT REQUIRED to have that type of insurance. You guys are SCAMMING customers and I am reporting this to all the applicable agencies. I saw multiple other customers get charged extra based on the attendant’s incorrect information. You guys need to stop this practice. I rent cars all the time and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had.
