Reported a scam account literally calling itself ‘Etsy Support’ asking for sellers to log in on a different site. I used Etsy’s chat support to give all the info. They thanked me and then did nothing, the account is still active.They also just generally treat their sellers like dirt. They’ll keep 75 percent of your money for no reason for months, force you to use their paid advertising, try to get you to advertise for them on your social media (which is what we pay Etsy for…) and jack their prices up here and there for every little thing until you end up making a lot less than you expect when you sell on there. It used to be an amazing site to sell on, really straightforward, good items, set fees that seemed fair. Now you end up paying about twenty five percent in about ten different types of fees when you sell an item, so it’s actually more expensive than alternatives. If a viable alternative popped up tomorrow for vintage and handmade items that was able to import my listings believe me, I’d switch in a second. There’s no soul left in Etsy, just greed.
