I booked through a hotel website- not even realizing I was using Getaroom. The website advertised free cancelations all over. The name of the hotel room on my receipt even notated “free cancelations.” Minutes after booking my reservation I decided to cancel- assuming it wouldn’t be an issue. I called to get a refund and they insisted that they have a no refund policy, though I do see this listed on the cancelation receipt I was never informed about this policy before booking. I spoke with customer service and was told I would be getting a call back from a manager- I have not heard from anyone, I even sent them an email with screenshots showing that the original booking offered free reservations. They are clearly changing up information and redirecting you to their site in a misleading way. I would like Get A Room to prove they are not a scam and follow up to offer my refund.
