Fake Positive Reviews? As I read the positive reviews, I began to notice they appeared to be written by the same person, using the same phrases and grammatical style and the same words of praise and referring to the “names” of the “great” people who work at Freelance and how “helpful” they are, blah blah. Why did I read these reviews?I signed up with Freelancer on September 28, 2023. This required phone verification. I’ve had the same phone number since 1986. I usually receive about 3 spam calls a week. The day after I did phone verification with Freelancer. I received (so far) 23 spam calls–identified as spam by my phone company. Think they are selling your info? Hmmmm?Fee gouging? They charged me an additional 60% of the payments I made to two freelancers today, and took another 60% from the freelancer! Yeah! Wow. Freelancer made 120% off this deal and the Freelancer ended up with just 40% of what I paid–plus they charged me an additional “processing” fee. LOL–no no no. No thanks. They should call the website “Feegouger” or “ScamsRUs.”
