I booked a serviced apartment in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam via Agoda for 22 nights. The apartment has an exceptional reviews of 9.1 stars on Agoda site with nice room photos and many available features. However, when I checked in, the room was very old and wasn’t as clean as featured on Agoda as “sparkling clean”. Many facilities (20) listed don’t exist. So I wanted to checkout early and contacted both the property and Agoda to ask for refund of the remaining nights. The owner for the apartment refused to refund due to its nonrefundable policy. Agoda also refused to refund. Their compensation is a refund of 10% of the total charge instead. They both pointed fingers at each other for false advertisement. My negative review of the apartment has never been published by Agoda. Don’t ever book on Agoda. They are a scam. They allow the hotel to post incorrect/false listing without verifying and to hide negative reviews from their site
