I booked through Agoda, not knowing a thing about them. I was told by booking agent that they would not take payment until 1 day before arrival date. They took payment a week before & when I saw a charge for $311.11 for a booking in Amsterdam I called my credit card to report a fraudulent charge. My card was closed & a new one issued. When I arrived at my hotel my reservation had been cancelled without notice & the amount for 3 nights was the $311 charged I’m Amsterdam. No rooms were available so I was put on the cancellation list & luckily I was given 1night & then on the waiting list again for the next night. I was able to secure 3 nights that way only changing rooms 2 times. The stress I felt is indescribable but I did make it to my granddaughters wedding!
