In October 2021 I made a legitimate online purchase on a website called IWOOT. At the checkout page I must have been redirected to this scam company ‘Complete Savings’ where I apparently completed an online agreement that has cost me £15 a month ever since. No confirmation email ever landed in my inbox so I was completely unaware what had happened. They use your card to take the money rather than direct debit so it’s harder to detect the deductions and hard to cancel as it’s not a direct debit. So far I have paid £315 and today have requested a refund. I have received email correspondence asking me to complete a refund claim form, I will post back if this is successful. I have also reported to my bank who will be acting if my refund claim is unsuccessful.Update – today 3rd August I have been contacted by the customer service team and have been told in an email that I will be fully refunded, which I appreciate very much. I will update when I have received my refund.Update 5th August 2023, I have now received a refund for £285 (further £30 pending) which would equate to a total refund. Of this I am very grateful and have added 1 star, however I still maintain that I received only a two emails (straight into my spam folder) from the organisation which is very low in terms of communication, one when I ‘joined’ and another one in 2022. The process should be more transparent and that is evident in the very low overall rating and ‘customer’ (I use that term with trepidation) feedback.
