*UPDATE* I have received an email stating that the money will be refunded in full. I don’t trust this company, so will wait the 5-7 business days to see whether they follow through and update again.I went to try to book a room through what I thought was the Holiday Inn’s website. Once I entered my credit card information I could see exorbitant fees that had previously been hidden. I did not confirm the payment and exited the page. Somehow, the company (Guest Reservations) charged my card despite me not confirming the payment. They refused a refund and when I went to try to modify the reservation, I was taken to Getaroom’s website, so these companies are obviously linked. Their practices are fraudulent. They overcharge, hide fees, charge your card before you confirm and then won’t issue a refund.
