I was gifted £100 from my work colleagues. Sadly, they chose to use a company which issued me with this “Tremendous” card. I was given a virtual Visa card which is absolutely useless. The card does not work at any retailer regardless of how I try to pay. I have tried multiple online stores, and I also added it to my ApplePay to attempt in-store purchases, nothing works. The card is constantly declined. What a waste of a generous gift. This company seem to be a complete scam. I am very very dubious of all the 5 star reviews, as the experience I have had with this company is reflected perfectly in the majority of 1 star reviews on here. Sadly these genuine 1 star reviews are buried underneath thousands of 5 star reviews. If you try to seek help using the “chat now” feature on the Tremendous website, you are presented with the most irritating and poorly designed chatbot ever. If you ask to speak to a person, it responds with “No, try me first”. I eventually emailed “help (at) tremendous.com” and received a quick response asking for some details, which I now realise was generic. I sent a follow up email and received a separate generic response which was a copy and paste of their FAQ page. After looking at these similar reviews, I have sadly accepted that I will never receive the gifted money. If you are considering using this service to gift money to somebody PLEASE DO NOT!
