i paid in advance and when i got to the rental counter at the airport they did not have a car for me. after waiting in line for more than 1.5 hrs, the rental agent said that i was late so he gave away my car because my reservation was canceled. and yet, he saw me standing there the whole time! i appealed to rentalcars.com multiple times and also trough my credit card but they refuse to refund my rental, depsite proof that i was there (and wound up renting another card for $1200 more, which obviously i would not do by choice). rentalcars.com is clearly a scam! stay away!
