Saw several recommendations on using Klook to book Japan’s railway passes. Went on Klook website to book, and saw its promotion about booking on its app to save 5% of the first booking. I thought why not. Took the trouble to input all information and also input the promo code. Received zero discount. Yet says promotion already applied. Probed a bit more and turns out there’s a maximum discount of $10 and a long list of activities that do not qualify. Part of my order is not on the exclusion list, yet still there’s no discount. Felt like a scam.
