Etsy stole my sales money. Updating my previous post I can now inform you that Etsy closed my account giving no reason why but now I have found that I can’t get my sales money even though I have shipped the goods. Etsy stole £95.00 gross from my account. Since they shut the account permanently there is no way to recover the money. This is not a solitary case. In researching this company I found numerous sellers complaining that their account was closed with no correspondence from Etsy to say why. I have now discovered that Etsy was dependent on SVB Silicon Valley Bank and that they have lost huge amounts of capital and that they have stated that they cannot honour seller accounts. The share price of Etsy has collapsed by 50% from Jan 2022 . Anyone who sets up a shop at Etsy will run the risk of losing their sales money even though they have shipped goods. Shoppers also beware because you may not receive your goods even though you have paid for them . I have lost £95.00 to Etsy but what is worse is the feeling of being scammed . Their customer service refuse to comment or reply . AVOID ESTY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
