Please beware everyone, we were scammed by a Budget agent, don’t let it happen to you. At check in we were asked if we wanted the insurance we said no as I have coverage through my credit card.HERE’S WHERE THEY GOT ME! When the agent took me through the acknowledgement on the tablet, he scrolled through quickly and at the insurance part said “initial here to acknowledge you have declined insurance” I initialed but I didn’t read it properly as he rushed it through. I actually signed to accept the insurance.MAKE SURE YOU READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING, THIS IS A COMMON SCAM AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO FALL VICTIM TO IT. It’s all over the internet. The agents are paid low wages and they get paid commission to up sell, foreign tourists are an easy target as the charge doesn’t usually get added until you are on the plane! We thought they were a reputable company, definitely not!
