Rentalcars (rentalcars.com)

Worst experience I’ve had in a long while!!! Booked a vehicle on their site for Dash Car Rentals in Miami Florida. Dash lied to me (basically frauded me) and said over the phone they would accept my insurance (tier 1, state law accepted, and accepted by all major car rental companies). When I arrived to pick up my car they changed their tune and wanted to charge me an extortionate amount for their own liability insurance. They were scammers and totally rude throughout the whole experience. I could not rent the car I had booked, and was left on the street to find a very quick replacement. Rentalcars.com could not be reached by phone, after multiple calls (a message stating they were having technical difficulties was eventually all I got). The chat service response informed me I could not get a refund and could only make a claim for refund after the original end date of my rental. I pursued the fraudulent/payment dispute through my credit card company, Capital One, but they proved dishonourable and did not take my side, instead stating I needed to contact rentalcars.com directly to get my money back. It is now past the end date of what would have been my rental, and when I tried to continue the dispute and get my money back, they told me it was not possible through them and I needed to go through my bank. Absolute scam artists!!! Avoid at all costs. My next step will be to take legal action and file a claim.
