I thought I was booking directly with Doubletree hotels but it was a spoof account getaroom.com. Even my credit card company first declined the charge. But since I thought it was the actual hotel chain, I told them to authorize the charge. A few hours later when I discovered the scam, I cancelled the reservation through getaroom.com but they still charged the full amount. Warning, this company is a scam.
